Formed in 1957, Mid-Atlantic Pilots Association is a non-profit flying organization dedicated to air safety, aviation education and flying camaraderie. All levels of pilots, student pilots and aviation enthusiasts are invited to join. 

MAPA's Annual Meeting and Board Election  

MAPA had its 2021 annual meeting and election of Board of Directors via Zoom on June 23, 2021.

All existing board members were reelected, and David Mowad was elected to the board as a new director. 

MAPA's Relaunch Picnic

MAPA had a successful and well attended relaunch picnic at NJ Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum on June 12, 2021. 

Great food and two great speakers accompanied a warm welcome and hospitality by the Museum. Dues paying members also received complimentary annual membership to 
the Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum (check the Museum’s website for the great benefits of membership).

MAPA has a monthly meeting held on the second Thursday of each month. We often have a speaker or an animated discussion on hot aviation related topics. Our programs have covered a variety of topics including aviation safety, flying adventures, weather and many others. More...

Fly-Outs

Monthly fly-outs are usually held the Saturday after our meeting, but may occur earlier or later to coincide with a destination event. Our exciting fly-out destinations include air shows, major aviation fly-ins, great restaurants, Class B airports, Bahamas, Canada, and many others. More...

Frank Galella was doing a job (UAV) a few weeks ago at a huge Container yard right by Newark Airport, its was the first untethered operation in their airspace that the FAA issues, just happened to get this shot while they were setting things up.
